United in a love of learning at Waterford West World of Learning. Our early learning and long day care centre is nestled in the heart of Water West, ideally located for families living or commuting through Waterford West or nearby suburbs Crestmead, Logan Reserve and Marsden.
From the moment you visit our centre, you will experience a haven where children are inspired to explore, learn and grow. Our spacious outdoor environment includes sandpits, slides, vegetable garden and other exciting play equipment for children to learn through play. Children are encouraged to explore the outdoor areas to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence.
Our centre has pets which the children enjoy interacting with.
Our indoor spaces encourage exploration and discovery with engaging resources and learning experiences. Children marvel, create, and test out their ideas as they play with a range of materials in purposeful play spaces. Our team of experienced educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Literacy and numeracy concepts are embedded in play-based learning, as children engage as architects, storytellers, scientists, artists and designers.
Children enjoy healthy meals created daily by our in-house cook, catering for all dietary requirements. Shared mealtimes between children and educators strengthen relationships, with opportunities to share stories and experiences, and model healthy eating practices. Other opportunities include educators encouraging children to assist in selecting edible plants from our vegetable garden which are used in some of our meals.
A rotational schedule of specialised programs including music, sports and Japanese language classes. A dance program is also available to your child at an additional fee. These engaging programs are regularly available to your child to develop fundamental skills.
Regular excursions to our local community visiting Marsden Primary every week so that the children can familiarise themselves with the school environment. We also visit Palm Lake Care regularly and they visit us each year. We enjoy Christmas lunch with the elderly at the centre. Our present educational children’s shows and welcome special guests to the centre including dentists, doctors and Coles to extend on the children’s learning. Community connections support a sense of belonging for children and offer opportunities to develop social and observational skills with various people and places.
Our centre takes great pride in the relationships that we have built with Palm lake care. We visit them regularly and they visit us each year we have Christmas lunch with the elderly at the service. Our kindergarten children regularly take walks to learn about the community around them. We visit places like Coles, the dentist, the doctors.
Sustainability philosophy embedded at our centre teaching children to care for the environment. Children learn about sustainability practices through our vegetable garden while harvesting food, weeding, watering, and nurturing the environment.
