United in a love of learning at Parkinson World of Learning. Our early learning and long day care centre is located in the heart of Parkinson, ideally located for families living or commuting through Parkinson or nearby suburbs Algester, Calamvale and Heritage Park. Located across the road from public transport and a shopping centre and in close proximity to four schools in the area.
As you enter our child care centre, you will experience a world where children are encouraged to explore and grow. Our spacious outdoor areas include a cubby house, sandpits, slides, and vegetable gardens in both the junior and senior playgrounds for children to learn through play. Children are inspired to explore the outdoor areas to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence.
Our centre is purpose built with lovely gardens surrounding it. We have long serving educators who are passionate about educating young children.
Our indoor spaces encourage exploration and discovery with engaging resources and learning experiences. Children marvel, create, and test out their ideas as they play with a range of materials in purposeful play spaces. Our team of experienced educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Literacy and numeracy concepts are embedded in play-based learning, as children engage as architects, storytellers, scientists, artists and designers.
The centre kitchen is at the centre of everything we do at Parkinson World of Learning. Children enjoy healthy, freshly made meals created daily by our in-house cook. Shared mealtimes between children and educators strengthen relationships, with opportunities to share stories and experiences, and model healthy eating practices. Other opportunities include educators encouraging children to assist in selecting edible plants from our vegetable garden which are used in some of our meals.
Your child will have access to a rotating schedule of engaging specialised programs including sports, dance, and Spanish language classes. These programs are regularly available to your child to develop fundamental skills and enhance the daily program.
Educators and children venture out on excursions to our local community visiting nearby schools, aged care facilities and businesses. We regularly present educational children’s shows and welcome special guests to the centre including dentists and occupational therapists, to extend on the children’s learning. Community connections support a healthy sense of belonging for children and offer opportunities to develop social and observational skills with different people and places.
A sustainability philosophy is embedded at our centre teaching children to care for the environment. Children learn about sustainability practices through our vegetable garden, worm farm, rain tank and compost bin.
As members of our World of Learning community, we look forward to partnering with you to provide information, support, and high-quality education and care in your child’s formative years.
