What is your favourite inspirational quote?
“If a child can’t learn the way the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn” – Ignacio Estrada.
What is your philosophy about educating children?
At World of Learning, solid relationships between educators, children and families are a powerful foundation for belonging and learning. Our trained and experienced educators provide a warm, welcoming, supportive and caring environment in which all children can grow, and develop socially, cognitively, emotionally, physically and morally. These experiences will support ongoing professional development and encourage collaboration of ideas to form a solid and cohesive team who work together towards a shared goal.
Children are encouraged to follow their path of discovery by being in the moment learning through hands on, real and relevant play based experiences.
Each child’s journey is different at our service. Their identity, knowledge, understandings, skills and relationships change constantly and are the contributing factors to them becoming active members of the community. Our service provides a School Readiness program as part of our curriculum and routine, this help to ensure the children are all prepared for a comfortable and confident transition to school.
What makes your team/centre special?
I think we stand out from other centres. We strive to achieve the best and we are always wanting to improve the environments and resources within the service for the children.
As a child what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be either a veterinarian or a teacher.
What is one of your hobbies?
Anything involving nature, beach, hikes and taking my dogs out to the park.
What message would you like to tell parents considering your centre?
Every day is an opportunity to build lasting memories with the children and families at Cartwright World of Learning. Our door is always open and we can’t wait to meet you and have you become a part of our family too. We will do our very best to cater to your entire child’s needs. I look forward to meeting you and making wonderful memories together.
