“I see children as co-collaborators in learning, exploring, reflecting, and problem-solving alongside their educators.”

I began my journey in early childhood education in 2016 and joined San Marino World of Learning in 2024. Growing up, I struggled to connect with school and my teachers until one teacher helped me see my potential, shaping who I am today. Their support inspired me to pursue this career. I wanted to be the person who empowers children to grow, learn, and feel valued. I’ve come to understand that every child is unique, bringing their own knowledge and qualities to the table. This belief shapes my teaching style, where children are seen as co-collaborators in learning, exploring, reflecting, and problem-solving alongside their educators.

I’m passionate about helping children on their learning journey because I believe their capabilities and interests pave the way for lifelong success. Attending a dedicated early childhood centre like ours not only builds essential skills but provides children with the best opportunities to develop their unique qualities in a nurturing and stimulating environment.

At San Marino World of Learning in Prestons, I’m proud to lead a passionate and dedicated team committed to delivering quality programs that inspire children to achieve greatness. Building relationships with families is equally important to me. I take the time to get to know each family individually to ensure we provide the best possible care and support for their children. Together, we create a strong foundation for lifelong learning and development.

We look forward to welcoming your family to our Prestons early education centre.

Sustainability

We have an embedded sustainability program, using recycled materials in our projects and turning off lights daily from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to conserve energy. Our commitment to sustainability teaches children the importance of environmental responsibility.

Community engagement

We often have visits from local community services in Prestons to help familiarise the children with their local community, and we go out on adventures in our local area to teach the children about their local environment.

Music and movement

Our evidence-based Rhythm and Movement for Self-Regulation (RAMSR) program supports children’s attentional and emotional self-regulation, as well as skills like flexibility, inhibition and working memory. Drawing on research in music education and child development, it is an innovative approach to holistic learning, development and well-being in early childhood.

Cultural responsiveness and inclusion

Children learn about different cultures, languages and traditions through shared experiences that encourage respect, curiosity and a sense of belonging. Educators value and support children’s home languages and ways of communicating, strengthening identity and connection to community.

See more Approximately 2 weeks ago I visited San Marino World of Learning while exploring childcare options for my son, who has a global developmental delay. Upon arrival, I mentioned his needs, and I was immediately advised that this center might not be the best fit due to its open-plan layout, with all children sharing one large room. Instead, I was directed to another center down the road that was deemed a “better fit.” While I understand that every childcare center has its own structure and approach, I believe inclusivity should be a priority in early childhood education. A well-designed childcare centre should cater to the diverse needs of all children rather than redirecting families elsewhere. It would be great to see San Marino World of Learning explore ways to make their environment more adaptable and welcoming to children of all abilities. That said, I have no concerns regarding the infrastructure or general setup of the center. My feedback is solely based on the importance of fostering inclusivity so that all children, regardless of their developmental needs, have the opportunity to thrive in a supportive environment. I also visited 16 other childcares that week which in my honest opinion I believe were more welcoming. I hope this feedback helps spark reflection on how the center can evolve to accommodate a wider range of needs in the future. Thanks!

I have enrolled my children in several childcare centres, but I have never experienced one like San Marino World of Learning. They provide a warm, nurturing environment, which is so important to me as a parent. Before coming here, I had my child at another centre but didn’t feel it was the right fit. I was worried about trying a new centre again, but I am so glad I did! From the moment we started at San Marino, I could see the difference. The educators genuinely love their job—they are always engaged with the children, creating a caring and supportive atmosphere. The menu is outstanding—nutritious, well-balanced, and thoughtfully planned. They even cut the fruit into cute shapes! Make smoothies! I also appreciate that they upload photos of daily activities and meals, keeping parents involved and reassured. In just a few weeks, my child has come home excitedly telling me about fire emergencies, soccer skills, and all the new things my child learned. It’s amazing to see how much my child is growing and developing in such a short time. My only regret is that I had known about this centre sooner. I highly recommend San Marino World of Learning to any parent looking for a safe, caring, and high-quality early learning experience for their child. I’ve never felt more confident leaving my child in someone’s care. Thank you Ms Georgia, Ms Alisha, Ms Dalila, Ms Nary, Ms Antoinette, Ms Reza and Ms Ana.

Frequently asked questions

A centre tour is a convenient way to experience the childcare centre of your choice and meet with our qualified educators at a time that is suitable for your family’s schedule. Click here to book a tour online.

On the day of the tour, you can observe practices and interactions within the centre environment. You’ll be able to see all the rooms and playgrounds, ask the team members any questions you have in mind, and get all the information you need to make the best decision for your child.

Enrolling is simple, and our Family Support Team will guide you through each step.

First, find your local centre and book a tour so you can meet the team and explore the learning environment. If the centre is the right fit and a place is available, you’ll receive an enrolment offer for your child. If a place is not currently available in your child’s age group, we can add your child to the waitlist and keep you updated.

To finalise your enrolment, you’ll complete an online enrolment form through a secure link sent by our Family Support Team. You’ll also need to provide key details and documents, including your child’s birth certificate, Medicare details, immunisation history statement and, if eligible, your Child Care Subsidy details.

Before your child’s first day, you may be invited to attend a Stay and Play session. This gives your child time to explore the centre, meet their educators, and start feeling comfortable in their new environment. Once your paperwork is complete, your child is ready to start their early learning journey with us.

Read our step-by-step guide on how to enrol here.

Starting child care is a big milestone, and a little preparation can help your child feel more comfortable and confident.

Before your child’s first day, you can talk positively about their new centre, explain what their day might look like, and practise small routines such as packing their bag, saying goodbye, washing hands and sitting down for meals. You may also like to visit the centre with your child, meet their educators and ask our team about what to bring on the first day.

When your child starts, our educators will take the time to get to know your child’s routine, interests, comfort items and individual needs. Settling in looks different for every child, so we work closely with families to help children feel safe, supported and ready to learn.

Learn more about our Settling-in Program.

Most of our child care and early education centres offer nappies and wipes, sunscreen and hats, as well as nutritious meals prepared by our in-house cook. Some centres also provide sheets and formula, so you may not need to remember to pack them.

For nursery children, be sure to bring: nappy rash cream, dummies, bottles and teats, comfort toys or blankets, three spare outfits and spare socks.

For toddlers and preschool or kindergarten-aged children, it’s best to bring: spare underwear, water bottle or sippy cup, sun hat, closed-toe shoes, two spare outfits and spare socks.

Plus, anything else your individual child may need, such as breast milk, a sleeping bag, a comforter or medication.

It’s best to speak to your centre of choice for a full list of everything included.

World of Learning uses Xplor Home as our family communication app. It is the best and easiest way to keep track of your child’s day.

After you enrol your child with the centre, you can utilise Xplor Home to book child care days, manage your account, receive the photographs that capture your child’s learning, learn about your child’s progress, as well as keep up-to-date with upcoming centre events and important information.

If your child shows signs of an infectious illness when they arrive at the centre or becomes sick during the day, you may be notified that you need to make alternative arrangements or pick up your child from the centre and keep them home until they are no longer infectious. While we understand that this can be inconvenient, World of Learning is committed to maintaining a healthy environment and reducing the risk of infection for all children.

Under the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), families are allowed 42 absence days per child, per financial year. These can be taken for any reason, including public holidays and when children are sick, without requiring families to provide documentation.
