How long have you been working in early education?
I have been working in the Industry for 15 years, where I started as a Float, assistant, lead educator, 2IC and now a Centre Manager (worked my way through early child hood positions).
What is your favourite part of working at the centre?
My favourite part of working at the centre is building strong and positive relationships with the families and children within the service and watching the children learn, develop and grow throughout their development and time at the centre.
What qualifications do you hold?
Advanced Diploma in Children Services
What are you most proud of at your centre?
The dedication that each educator within the service brings, they are very open, loving, nurturing and respectful to families, children and other team members and give 100% passion in all that they do.
What inspired you to become an educator?
From a very young age I have always been very passionate about children, I come from a large family and I am one of six children which helped me merge into the Early Child hood and care environments. From here I have never looked back and enjoy watching and helping the development of the children to learn, develop and grow through their journey as well as the special bonds that I create with the families seeing the excitement on parents faces when new and exciting adventures happen along the way.
What is one of your hobbies?
Spending time with my 4 children and partner – boating/fishing, camping and DIY renovations within the workplace.
What message would you like to tell parents considering your centre?
We have a fantastic team, that are very dedicated and passionate, giving 100% to ensure that each child’s developmental needs are met ensuring that we make a difference in each child’s developmental journey within our service.
