- *
Advanced Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care

"Early education should be a fun adventure every day, allowing children to learn and grow at their own pace, celebrate successes, and face challenges in a supportive environment. "

I began my career in Early Childhood Education and Care in 2004. I have worked in various roles, including Assistant Educator, Lead Educator, Assistant Centre Manager, and Centre Manager.
From a young age, I felt that working in early learning was where I could make a significant difference, as the first years of a child’s life are crucial. I strive to create a loving and nurturing environment where children become courageous and confident learners, and parents feel that the centre and educators are an extension of their family.
I believe that strong relationships between children, educators, and families form the foundation of early learning and education. As educators, our role is to introduce and foster a love of learning in children. Early education should be a fun adventure every day, allowing children to learn and grow at their own pace, celebrate successes, and face challenges in a supportive environment.
What makes our team special is the meaningful bonds we form with families. We create a community feel at the centre, making it a home away from home for your little one. We aim to support families by being an extension of the child’s family, involving and consulting parents in all aspects of their child’s day. We strive to be available for families and work together to achieve great outcomes for their children.
I look forward to welcoming your family to our Croydon early education centre.

## Our innovative early learning programs

At our early learning centre in Croydon, our play-based curriculum is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), supporting children to learn through play, exploration and discovery.

#### Sustainability

Children develop respect for the environment through gardening, recycling and nature-based learning. Educators also introduce the interconnected aspects of sustainability, including environmental, social and economic, through concepts like fairness, sharing and community.

#### Social and emotional learning

Children develop a strong sense of identity as they feel safe, secure and supported, building confidence, resilience and a positive sense of self. Through group activities, conversations and play, children learn to interact with others with care, empathy and respect, building positive relationships and friendships.

#### Language and early literacy

Children develop early literacy through storytelling, books, songs and meaningful conversations. Educators support children to explore language in many forms, including speaking, listening, viewing, drawing and writing, while building confidence communicating with others.

#### Cultural responsiveness and inclusion

Children learn about different cultures, languages and traditions through shared experiences that encourage respect, curiosity and a sense of belonging. Educators value and support children’s home languages and ways of communicating, strengthening identity and connection to community.

My daughter started at Croydon World of learning when she was 3 years old. We are very happy with the centre and staff. Our daughter loves going, she always comes home happy. She has learnt so much there, they are very engaging. There have a great range of extra activities like music and Spanish. The food that is provided is fresh and healthy. The children that attend get to try a variety of cuisines. The staff are very caring, they provide daily feedback, and work together with you about any concerns.
I have seen a massive improvement in my daughter’s social skills since attending Croydon World of Learning.
I would definitely recommend this centre to other parents.

I cannot speak highly enough of the team at World of Learning in Croydon North. Nicole (centre manager) is the kindest, most understanding person and is so hands-on in the rooms. Our toddler loves her and she works in with his needs really well. We had issues recently with our Childcare Subsidy and Nicole and Emma were so understanding, gave us plenty of time to pay the fees and gave us a lot of advice on how to get it sorted. We have had 1 child there since he was 6 months, now almost 3yrs, and he loves it. The educators are all so fun, engaged and genuinely care for the children. All of the educators in the centre know all the kids and are always giving such great updates. We have just started our second child there and he's thriving. Our children learn so much at childcare, have so much variety in their activities and their food, it's great! The educators take time to update us with photos and details of their days and it's great to see what they get up to. The centre is really inclusive and celebrates a lot of different cultures, holidays, and is always asking about our family life at home. We really love this centre and all of the people there! Highly recommend - 10 stars!!!

We’ve seen such great progress in her learning and confidence — and it’s clear she feels safe, happy, and cared for with you all. We really appreciate the warmth, patience, and fun you bring into her day.

Thanks again for being such a special part of her early years!

My son spent 6 months at the center in kinder 3 while we were temporarily living in the area. We only left due to moving back. The centre was very Caring and supportive in the transition into the day care environment. The children always seem happy and have many different activities each day to keep them busy. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend CWL to any families looking for care.

We could not have asked for a better childcare based kinder to send our son to. Kris, Steph and Jacqui run a structured Kinder program that is preparing him for starting prep. He is flourishing under their care and the support we receive from them goes above and beyond. I wish we had moved him to this centre earlier.

## Frequently asked questions

##

A centre tour is a convenient way to experience the childcare centre of your choice and meet with our qualified educators at a time that is suitable for your family’s schedule. [Click here to book a tour online.](/book-a-tour)

On the day of the tour, you can observe practices and interactions within the centre environment. You’ll be able to see all the rooms and playgrounds, ask the team members any questions you have in mind, and get all the information you need to make the best decision for your child.

##

Enrolling is simple, and our Family Support Team will guide you through each step.

First, find your local centre and book a tour so you can meet the team and explore the learning environment. If the centre is the right fit and a place is available, you’ll receive an enrolment offer for your child. If a place is not currently available in your child’s age group, we can add your child to the waitlist and keep you updated.

To finalise your enrolment, you’ll complete an online enrolment form through a secure link sent by our Family Support Team. You’ll also need to provide key details and documents, including your child’s birth certificate, Medicare details, immunisation history statement and, if eligible, your Child Care Subsidy details.

Before your child’s first day, you may be invited to attend a Stay and Play session. This gives your child time to explore the centre, meet their educators, and start feeling comfortable in their new environment. Once your paperwork is complete, your child is ready to start their early learning journey with us.

[Read our step-by-step guide on how to enrol here.](/family-information/how-to-enrol)

##

Starting child care is a big milestone, and a little preparation can help your child feel more comfortable and confident.

Before your child’s first day, you can talk positively about their new centre, explain what their day might look like, and practise small routines such as packing their bag, saying goodbye, washing hands and sitting down for meals. You may also like to visit the centre with your child, meet their educators and ask our team about what to bring on the first day.

When your child starts, our educators will take the time to get to know your child’s routine, interests, comfort items and individual needs. Settling in looks different for every child, so we work closely with families to help children feel safe, supported and ready to learn.

[Learn more about our Settling-in Program.](/family-information/settling-in-program)

##

Most of our child care and early education centres offer nappies and wipes, sunscreen and hats, as well as nutritious meals prepared by our in-house cook. Some centres also provide sheets and formula, so you may not need to remember to pack them.

For nursery children, be sure to bring: nappy rash cream, dummies, bottles and teats, comfort toys or blankets, three spare outfits and spare socks.

For toddlers and preschool or kindergarten-aged children, it’s best to bring: spare underwear, water bottle or sippy cup, sun hat, closed-toe shoes, two spare outfits and spare socks.

Plus, anything else your individual child may need, such as breast milk, a sleeping bag, a comforter or medication.

It’s best to speak to your centre of choice for a full list of everything included.

##

World of Learning uses Xplor Home as our [family communication app](/family-information/family-communication). It is the best and easiest way to keep track of your child’s day.

After you enrol your child with the centre, you can utilise Xplor Home to book child care days, manage your account, receive the photographs that capture your child’s learning, learn about your child’s progress, as well as keep up-to-date with upcoming centre events and important information.

##

If your child shows signs of an infectious illness when they arrive at the centre or becomes sick during the day, you may be notified that you need to make alternative arrangements or pick up your child from the centre and keep them home until they are no longer infectious. While we understand that this can be inconvenient, World of Learning is committed to maintaining a healthy environment and reducing the risk of infection for all children.

Under the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), families are allowed 42 absence days per child, per financial year. These can be taken for any reason, including public holidays and when children are sick, without requiring families to provide documentation.
