Welcome to Riverview World of Learning. Our early learning and long day care centre is nestled in the heart of Wodonga, ideally located for families living or commuting through Riverview, Bandiana, Baranduda, Killara, Wodonga and West Wodonga.
When stepping into our child care centre, you will experience a sanctuary where children are inspired to explore, learn and grow. Our spacious outdoor areas include a sandpit, waterplay area, vegetable garden, fort, and equipment for children to discover their environment and embrace the outdoors. Children are encouraged to explore the outdoor areas to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence.
Our indoor spaces encourage exploration and discovery with engaging resources and learning experiences. Children marvel, create, and test out their ideas as they play with a range of materials in purposeful play spaces. Our team of experienced educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Literacy and numeracy concepts are embedded in play-based learning, as children engage as architects, storytellers, scientists, artists and designers.
We provide healthy meals created daily by our in-house cook, catering for all dietary requirements so there is no need to pack lunch for your little one. Shared mealtimes between children and educators strengthen relationships, with opportunities to share stories and experiences, and model healthy eating practices which include educators encouraging children to assist in selecting edible plants from our vegetable garden which are used in some of our meals. Let us treat you to coffee and a snack as part of your morning routine.
No two days are the same at Riverview World of Learning in Wodonga. A schedule of alternating specialised programs including music and sports are regularly available to your child enhancing the daily program.
Educators and children venture out on excursions to our local community, visiting aged care facilities, Woolworths, Beechworth Bakery, police station and the library. We regularly present educational children’s shows and welcome special guests to the centre to expand on the children’s learning. Community connections support a sense of belonging for children and offer opportunities to develop social and observational skills with various people and places.
We offer an engaging sustainability program teaching the children a sense of responsibility and connection to their world. Children learn about sustainability practices through our vegetable garden while harvesting food, weeding, watering, and nurturing the environment.
As members of our World of Learning community, we look forward to partnering with you to provide information, support, and high-quality education and care in your child’s formative years.
