Centre Manager, Thuringowa World of Learning
“There’s nothing more rewarding than watching a child learn with passion and wonder. ”
I started working in early learning in 2002. I joined the team at Thuringowa World of Learning in 2022. I have a Diploma in early childhood education and care.
There’s nothing more rewarding than watching a child learn with passion and wonder. During my career, I have learnt that all children learn in different styles. If we can provide opportunities for children to learn and encourage them to try, we are giving them the stepping stones to success.
Many people influence a child’s learning and development. All children have inbuilt curiosity and potential. Our job is to both nurture and help children develop by exploring the world in which they live.
Our team is extremely passionate about creating a centre that is a home away from home for families and children, where our team celebrates the diversity of all cultures. We’re fortunate to have educators who speak a variety of languages, including Mandarin, Cantonese and Hindi, to name just a few. The centre really is an extension of the home environment, and we work in partnership with families to ensure this is the case, understanding each child’s individual needs.
With many of our team having children of their own, we have all been or are going through the process of child care and early learning – we are proud to offer support where possible - from helping our families to enrol, applying for the Child Care Subsidy or even tips to help with fussy eaters. We’re here to help.
