How long have you been working in childcare?
What is your favourite part of working at the centre?
Having the honour of leading a team of dedicated and inspiring Educators who love working in the Early Childhood Industry and endeavour to make everyday a learning adventure for the children they care for.
What qualifications do you hold?
Diploma in Children’s Services.
What are you most proud of at your centre?
St Helens Park World of Learning has proudly been providing high quality early childhood education and care to our community for almost 20 years. Throughout this time, we have created strong ties to the local primary school St Helens Park Public School as well as creating a highly respected reputation for ourselves within our community. We believe it is due to that reputation that a number of our Educators and Families have chosen to be a part of our service since it began operating 17 years ago.
What is your philosophy about educating children?
At St Helens Park World of Learning we believe that the objective of early childhood education is to support the children in developing knowledge and skills which they will utilise for the rest of their lives. Our Educators endeavour to empower the children we care for to become independent and confident members of their community. As we strongly believe children learn these skills through play, we encourage children to explore roles and share experiences utilising both natural and manmade materials within homelike, nurturing and safe environments.
