United in a love of learning at Holland Park West World of Learning. Our early learning and long day care centre is ideally located for families living or commuting through Holland Park West, or nearby suburbs Holland Park, Mount Gravatt East and Tarragindi.
As you open the door to our centre, you will be immersed in a world where children are encouraged to explore and learn. Our adventure-filled playground includes a cubby house, sandpits, petting zoo with chickens and vegetable gardens for children to learn through play. Children are inspired to explore the outdoor areas to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence.
Long serving educators who are committed and passionate about providing a warm and welcoming environment for your child as well as a high-quality education and care program.
Our indoor spaces encourage exploration and discovery with engaging resources and learning experiences. Children marvel, create, and test out their ideas as they play with a range of materials in purposeful play spaces. Our team of experienced educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Literacy and numeracy concepts are embedded in play-based learning, as children engage as architects, storytellers, scientists, artists and designers.
We provide nutritious meals created daily by our in-house cook. Shared mealtimes between children and educators strengthen relationships, with opportunities to share stories and experiences, and model healthy eating practices. Other opportunities include educators encouraging children to assist in selecting edible plants from our vegetable garden which are used in some of our meals.
Your child will have access to a rotating schedule of engaging specialised programs including sport, music and movement and Spanish language lessons. These programs are readily available to your child and enhance the daily program.
Educators and children venture out on excursions to our local community visiting parks. We regularly present educational children’s shows and welcome special guests to the centre including the local police, ambulance and fire fighters. We also have visits from local community groups from the library and RSPCA along with local primary and high schools. Neighbourhood connections support a healthy sense of belonging for children and offer opportunities to develop social and observational skills with different people and places.
As members of our World of Learning community, we look forward to partnering with you to provide information, support, and high-quality education and care in your child’s formative years.
