Meet the Centre Manager of Nottingham World of Learning
“I have always had a passion for early childhood education, and being a huge part of children’s lives.”
I began my career in early childhood education and care in 2010 as a trainee fresh out of high school and started working at Nottingham World of Learning in 2018. I hold a Certificate 3 and a Diploma in Children’s Services. I have worked at Nottingham World of Learning as a Lead Educator, Educational Leader, Assistant Centre Manager and now as a Centre Manager.
I have always had a passion for early childhood education, and being a huge part of children’s lives. Especially in their early years, we are so important to the development of the next generation! I have worked with all ages and learnt a lot about the different skills and needs of children. And the needs of the families also, it is important to keep a child’s home life and kindy life as consistent as possible. As an Educational Leader, I have learnt what is important in a curriculum and how important life skills are to children.
I am passionate about helping children on their learning life journey. I enjoy creating a centre that is of high quality and standard, with nurturing educators that have the experience and love for the industry in all aspects. We educate the children in all different learning areas – art, movement, cognitive, self-help skills, and communication. This is so important to learn for our little people. I also pride myself on being a great mentor to my team.
When children are in a dedicated early learning environment, they get the opportunity to be independent, self-regulate, learn resilience, social skills, and language. They are able to be confident learners and explore with qualified early childhood teachers that are trained to educate and develop skills that all children need for their future!
Our team at Nottingham are dedicated. We have long-serving, multicultural team members who reflect our local community. It is the sort of centre where everyone knows all the children, and families no matter which room they are in. We are such a close-knit team it feels like one big family. You will be greeted with a smile and you’re child will be in caring hands. We like to make sure all our families and children are welcomed and feel as though they belong to our wonderful Nottingham family!
We support our families by always making sure we communicate with our families. They are greeted with a happy team and we always keep in touch with our amazing app – Xplor Home! We can update you on your child’s day throughout the day.
We make sure that we respect all cultural needs of our families and children and like to make sure their home life and kindy life are consistent, and the needs of the families are met. Families are also encouraged to be involved in centre decisions, events and their child’s learning also.
Welcome to Nottingham World of Learning.
