Amberly Park World of Learning

I started working in early learning in 2017 and joined Amberly Park World of Learning in December 2022. For me, there is nothing more rewarding than watching a child learn with passion and wonder. As an early childhood educator, I believe by providing opportunities for children to learn and encouraging them to try, we give them the stepping stones to success.

Attending a dedicated early childhood education and care centre helps children develop social skills and build relationships before starting school. They also have the opportunity to explore various play spaces and develop important skills. At Amberly Park World of Learning, our long-serving, multicultural educators are passionate about their roles. They observe and understand each child to set up play spaces and learning activities according to their interests and development.

We build strong connections with our families through emails, Xplor messages, informal discussions, and planned gatherings. This helps us understand their expectations and develop shared goals for children’s learning. We actively listen to families’ needs and incorporate their input into early learning experiences.

I am a Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teacher who is passionate about fostering a love of learning through play-based, child-led experiences. I firmly believe that play is the most effective way for young children to learn, as it allows them to explore the world, develop language and problem-solving skills, and build confidence in their own abilities. In my classroom, play is integrated into all aspects of learning, from dramatic role-play and construction activities to nature exploration and hands-on discovery.

Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, I see children as capable, competent, and active learners who thrive when given opportunities to explore, experiment, and express themselves in meaningful ways. I value the learning environment as the third teacher, ensuring that our space is aesthetically inviting, well-organised, and filled with natural materials to encourage curiosity and wonder. My goal is to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels a strong sense of belonging and community. By building strong relationships with children and families, I aim to support each child’s growth, laying the foundation for their future learning, social-emotional well-being, and a lifelong love of learning.

With nearly two decades of experience in the early childhood industry, I bring extensive knowledge and practical expertise to my role. I am committed to providing strong, reflective leadership and mentoring educators to ensure high-quality teaching and learning practices. I take pride in building collaborative relationships with both staff and families, recognising that working together is key to achieving the best outcomes for children.
