We had a fun filled week full of Easter activities and celebrations. Our children got to make Art and Craft Easter bunnies basket and then fill them with egg chocolates, we also painted and decorated our own Easter hats, which we had a hat parade with the children wearing their Easter hats and then showing them to all their friends who attended our hat parade. Children feel safe, secure and supported (EYLF 1.1) in their choices and are able to express themselves freely and creatively.
The Kangaroos including the teachers sat down ready with their hats to have a photo taken. Miss Lillian was kind enough to take our picture and the children were ready and said “cheese” and gave a big smile. The children develop a sense of belonging to groups and communities and an understanding of the reciprocal rights and responsibilities necessary for active community participation (EYLF 2.1)
Then we went outside ready to have our egg hunt. The children were so excited searching and finding the chocolate eggs. They searched the whole playground and when they found their eggs they showed their teachers. Once all the eggs were found we then danced to some music and back to the room for group time. It was a wonderful and exciting week!
